Elcogen is pleased to announce the appointment of Jan Gustav Grolig as its new Chief Technology Officer, effective August 2025. He succeeds Martin Skov Skjøth-Rasmussen, who will be stepping down to pursue personal priorities after a period of impactful stewardship.

Martin has been working closely with the Management and R&D teams to ensure a smooth and effective handover. A comprehensive succession plan is already in place, ensuring continued innovation and execution of the company’s priorities.
Jan Gustav Grolig to lead Elcogen’s technology strategy
Effective August 1, 2025, Elcogen is pleased to welcome Jan Gustav Grolig as the company’s new Chief Technology Officer. Jan brings over a decade of multidisciplinary expertise in hydrogen and electrochemical energy technologies, having led the development of advanced fuel cells and electrolysers.
As COO and CPO at Stargate Hydrogen, he oversaw the creation of alkaline electrolyser stacks and systems. Previously, at Hexis AG, Jan directed technology and innovation efforts focused on high-temperature Solid Oxide fuel cell stacks and systems. Commenting on his appointment, Jan said:
