Elcogen, a leading European solid oxide fuel cell manufacturer headquartered in Estonia, has welcomed the Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Estonia, Ross Allen, to its headquarters in Tallinn.
Enn Õunpuu, founder and CEO of Elcogen, and Henri Kaar, CFO, showed the Ambassador around its 2,000 square metre, state-of-the-art clean energy technology production and R&D facility, which includes a manufacturing capacity of 1.5 MW in annual solid oxide cell production.
The Ambassadorial tour reflects Ross Allen’s interest in the Company’s plan to enter the British public markets in order to access capital needed to develop Elcogen’s innovative hydrogen-producing technology and enable green hydrogen to fuel combustion-free energy security for the world.
The Ambassador expressed his interest in developing trade relations between Estonia and the United Kingdom and was impressed with the Company’s clean energy technology and its ability to produce green hydrogen and emission-free energy. “I was delighted to have the chance to tour Elcogen’s facilities and hear about the impressive technology. These fuel cells have the potential to change how the world moves,” said Ambassador Ross Allen.
Elcogen is a manufacturer of clean energy technology that delivers affordable green hydrogen and emission-free electricity. The Company’s core technology sits at the heart of energy security and transition away from fossil fuels.
Elcogen’s solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) and solid oxide electrolyser cell (SOEC) technology is flexible and can be applied to a broad range of residential, industrial, and commercial applications, enabling multiple types of systems to produce and use green energy. The main distinguishing characteristic of Elcogen’s SOFC and SOEC core technology is its ability to operate at a temperature of 650°C compared to an industry average of between 700-1000°C.
Enn Õunpuu, founder and CEO of Elcogen, said: “Elcogen were honoured to welcome the Ambassador to our headquarters in Tallinn, where we demonstrated our leading solid oxide fuel cell technology, discussed the necessity of green hydrogen in the fuelling the energy transition, and plans for future growth.
Elcogen is focused on driving net-zero ambitions forward with a core, reversible technology that converts fuel sources into emission-free energy and emission-free energy into green hydrogen.
We are a global leader in efficient, affordable solid oxide technology for our customers’ systems to produce green hydrogen and emission-free electricity.”
